The "Sunday Scaries" are very real. The only cure is a solid Sunday Reset routine. The goal isn't to spend the whole day working; the goal is to do just enough prep so that future-you doesn't have a breakdown on Monday morning.
Here is the low-effort guide to resetting your life in a few hours.
1. The "Life Admin" Hour
Set a timer for one hour. Knock out the tasks you’ve been avoiding.
-
Answer the scary emails.
-
Pay the credit card bill.
-
Schedule the dentist appointment your mom keeps bugging you about. Once the timer goes off, stop. You did it.
2. The Physical Reset
A cluttered space equals a cluttered mind. Do a rapid tidy. Put the clothes away (or at least move them from the "chair" to the hamper). Change your sheets. There is nothing better than starting the week with crisp, clean sheets.
3. Plan the Fits
Check the weather for the week and mentally plan your outfits. If you’re feeling ambitious, hang them up. This saves you 20 minutes of staring blankly into your closet every morning.
4. The Wind Down
By 8 PM, the work should be done. Transition into relaxation mode. Take a shower, do a face mask, put on your favorite Lazy Sunday set, and get into bed early with a book or a show. Don't scroll on your phone until your eyes bleed. Protect your peace.
Monday you will thank Sunday you.
